favorite How to say
I love you forever in Fon
Declaring eternal love in fɔ̀ngbè doesn’t translate word for word. Here are the authentic expressions, with their cultural nuances.
I love you — Un yí wǎn nú wè
This is the standard declaration of love. Yí wǎn = to love deeply. Nú wè = to you. Fon word order puts the object at the end.
Adding “forever”
« Forever » in Fon is kaka jɛ̀ hwenu (until the end of time) or tɛ̀gbɛ̀ (eternally).

Cultural context
In Fon culture, public declarations of love are rare. Gestures and small gifts are preferred. A spoken declaration is therefore greatly appreciated, especially in Fon rather than in French.
A love that stands the test of time
Un yí wǎn nú wè kaka jɛ̀ hwenu — the complete phrase, with correct tones, that you can say with confidence.
Reading these words isn’t enough. You have to hear them.
