Keyboard shortcuts for typing in Fon
On Windows, Mac or Linux, there are several ways to quickly type the special characters of fɔ̀ngbè (Ɖ, Ɛ, Ɔ). Here are the most effective.
Methods for Windows
Unicode method (all keyboards):
Type the Unicode code then Alt + X :
International keyboard: Settings Language Add Fon to your keyboards.
Methods for Mac
On macOS, turn on the Character Viewer :
1. System Preferences Keyboard
2. Check “Show keyboard and emoji viewers in menu bar”
3. Click the icon in the menu bar
4. Search for “Ɖ”, “Ɛ”, “Ɔ”
5. Double-click to insert
